HDC/HDS Series Scroll discharge decanter centrifuge /centrifugal decanter has a cylindrical with conical shape bowl, it generate the centrifugal force through high-speed rotation, required for separation process. Inside the bowl, there is a screw pusher used to continuously discharge sediment, which is filled on the inner surface of the bowl wall. The screw pusher rotates at a speed higher than that of the bowl casing, the speed difference is determined by the driving end of the bowl and the differential gear unit.

The raw material feeding into the bowl through a fixed feeding pipe. By feeding pipe, the material enters the separation zone inside the bowl. In the separation zone, the material separated into a sediment / solid layer and a liquid layer. The screw pushers crapes off the sediment layer from the bowl wall and discharges it at the outlet of conical end (also known as the drying zone) of bowl. The separated liquid flows to the cylindrical end of the bowl and discharged via centrifugal force through the overflow plate.
